The airtightness strategy for the building was introduced in the later stages of the project when construction had commenced on site. BET carried out a full review of the external envelope systems in light of the high level of airtightness performance required by the Client. During the construction of the project BET carried out periodic site surveys to monitor the ongoing construction works.BET also provided consultations, support and testing of all the 63 test laboratories in level -3 and carried out the whole building test on completion.
We were engaged as specialist airtightness experts to carry out site audits of the ongoing works, review of details, complex junctions, and the FINAL ISO 17025 INAB Accredited airtightness. We carried out tests on Bio-Medical Laboratories. The speed of construction, complexity of the building and size of the project resulted in 1 x monthly inspection intervals and regular workshops with the site team which enabled the building fulfil its specification of < 1.00 (m3/hr) /m2 @ 50Pa.
