The project consisted of Construction of a 4,500m² concrete framed teaching and administration building, of 3 storeys over basement incorporating a 350 seat tiered lecture theater, large central atrium and associated site works. The building possess a highly engineered façade with a mixture of twin wall environmental glazing with internal blinds and high performance bi-modular curtain walling with actuator controlled opening ventilators.

by brianWe were engaged as specialist airtightness experts to carry out site audits of the ongoing works, review of details, complex junctions, full ITC Level 2 building thermographic survey and the FINAL ISO 17025 INAB Accredited airtightness and certification compliant with Part L 2008. The project consisted of 3 two storey 3 bedroom houses. The speed of construction, complexity of the buildings and size of the project resulted in inspections and workshops with the site team which enabled the building fulfil its specification of < 2.00 (m3/hr) /m2 @ 50Pa. The project consisted of architecturally designed low energy houses providing ambient living conditions for the occupants.

The project comprised of the construction of 25nr dwellings and associated site and road works. The gross internal floor area of approximately 2,068m2 which comprises of 7 nr 1 bedroom apartments, 4 nr 2 bedroom apartments, 12 nr 3 bedroom apartments/houses and 2 nr 4 bedroom apartments on a 3 acre site. The apartments / houses are being constructed to an A3 BER standard and include air tightness tests, minimising thermal bridging and inclusion of a solar thermal hot water system and flue gas heat recovery units.

Two buildings providing 20,000m2 of office and retail space constructed above the existing underground car parking levels. The project, which was completed mid 2008 required very challenging air permeability targets.
The buildings geometry, its steel frame and a myriad of different envelope systems presented enormous challenges in achieving the targets. The new buildings also communicated with and included parts of the existing core structures at the lower levels with entrances to the office demise passing through retail areas on the lower levels.
