Airtightness in Existing Buildings

Investigating the airtightness performance of existing buildings can provide solutions to problems of discomfort, high energy consumption and failure in elements of the external building fabric.

Typically our work includes an airtightness test to establish the existing performance of the building. This is compared with good and best practice standards. A full air leakage audit to identify leakage paths and failing interfaces is then carried out.

All works are carried out to the same standards as our commercial & residential building tests.

A comprehensive test report details the findings of the test and air leakage audit which forms the basis for remedial sealing works.
