Case Study - ARUP HQ, Charlottes Quay, Dublin

Architect: Fitzgerald Kavanagh & Partners
Contractor: James Elliot Construction

4800 m² of state of the art office accommodation designed by Arup as an exemplar low energy building. The building incorporates many interesting features including a retained façade and high performance double and tripled glazed facades. The project was completed in 2007.

Airtightness was a key element in the ensuring that the high energy performance targets would be achieved. BET carried out a full review of the external envelope systems in light of the high level of airtightness performance required by the Client.

During the construction of the project BET carried out periodic site surveys to monitor the quality of the ongoing works. BET also provided support and testing for the raised floor supply air plenums and carried out the whole building test on completion.
